Apple to donate to Wuhan coronavirus-related aid groups

The media are occupying much of their space to the Wuhan coronavirus and the crisis that this is causing worldwide. So far it is known that this new virus has been diagnosed in more than 800 people with 25 deaths in total. Although much information about the virus is unknown in relation to its pathogenesis and virulence, the WHO has chosen not to declare a state of emergency. However, the costs for the control of this virus are high and Apple has announced that it will donate money to aid groups in relation to the Wuhan coronavirus.

Apple will help fight Wuhan coronavirus

Tim Cook announced a few hours ago that Apple I would collaborate with support groups that they were working to advance the investigation of the Wuhan coronavirus or that they stand alongside patients with the virus that is causing a social upheaval around the world. Apple is known for its great interest in donation right now. For example, we already saw similar donations when the Notre Damme cathedral fire in Paris or the fires that hit Australia occurred.

However, Tim Cook's tweet is the only official information we have on this donation from Apple. Although what matters is the detail and the involvement of these large multinationals, the money that will be provided will be a large amount if we extrapolate other donations in similar situations, which will improve the lives of patients and help advance against this virus.

Good for Apple, other companies should do the same.
