Apple TV + renews its browser interface for the first time

The Apple TV + user experience has been improved for all users who want to access through the browser. The home screen has been completely renovated, obtaining a design that replicates the one currently used in the television application.

Apple TV + is normally used from the browser by users whose television is not compatible with the official app or those that do not have Apple devices such as Windows or Android devices. In addition, Mac users who cannot update to Catalina and who, therefore, do not have the native app, will also notice this change if they access from the browser.

The service through the browser has always had a very basic user interface and does not stand out for being the widest in terms of functionalities. When the service was launched back in November 2019, the web application used a system of scrolling something primitive to show all the content that it had. Which, on the other hand, was quite scarce at the time. This made users have the feeling that the service, despite trying to give the opposite image, was not at all avant-garde.

The design has continued in this way until this week, despite Apple having been increasing the content since then. This has been generating a list that lacked much sense when it came to finding the content you wanted even being able to discover new.

With the new UI update, Apple TV + gets a more modern design, where we can find content by genre, the latest releases or continue what we were seeing in a much easier and more familiar way.

It is a giant step in the right direction for service. Competing with other monsters like Netflix, where the content is so easily found and you discover news almost every moment, Apple TV + must engage the user and their experience with the application is undoubtedly the most important point of contact between service and user.
