Well yes, but it turns out that this limit is only used to download the base of the game, that is, the basic content to be able to execute it. Obviously we are talking about games that exceed the gig such as Modern Combat 5, Asphalt 8, Infinity Blade III ...
Once the base has been downloaded as we progress through it, additional content will automatically be downloaded to continue enjoying the game. The packages will be downloaded in batches according to our needs until reaching the 2,2 GB of storage that is allowed per application. What happens if the game occupies more than 2,2 GB as is the case with Infinity Blade III that reaches almost 3 GB? Well, very simple. As we progress through the game, the phases on which we are no longer going to play again will be automatically deleted to make room for the new phases that we have left to play.
Remember that Apple limits the maximum size of games to 4 GB, but not only on Apple TV, but this restriction is also found on all iOS-based devices. In addition, within the new fourth generation Apple TV we can only store 20 GB of content from the App Store. During the presentation of this fourth generation, Apple presented several applications and games that will be available for download on the same day of launch.
