Apple updates firmware for AirPods Pro 2 and Beats headphones

iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods Pro 2

Apple just released a new firmware update for AirPods Pro 2 and for Powerbeats Pro and Beats Studio Buds.

The second and newly released generation of AirPods Pro has received a first firmware update from Apple. Until now the software installed in the most modern Apple headphones was 5A377, and the version that was just released and to which your headphones will update automatically in the next few hours is 5B58. What novelties does this new version bring? At the moment we do not know the changes because Apple has not made them public, but we will wait for our AirPods Pro 2 to be updated to test it and see if there is anything noteworthy to publish.

What does the version of your AirPods Pro 2 look like? With them connected to your iPhone, you must click on the menu that will appear on the main Settings screen, just below your iCloud account, and at the bottom of that screen the installed firmware version will appear. If you click on it, you were not only the version of the AirPods, but also the version of the case, which can receive software updates in the same way.

Beat's Studio Buds

In addition to the update for the AirPods Pro 2, Apple has released others for the Beats Studio Buds and the Powerbeats Pro. In this way, the firmware of the Powerbeats Pro go up from version 4A394 to version 5B55, and Beats Studio Buds go up to version 10M2155 from 10M329. Apple has also not included any information about the new features included.

There is no way to force the update of any of the headphones. this is done automatically, usually when the headphones are in their case, charging, and with the iPhone or Mac they're paired with nearby. It may take a few hours or several days, so be patient.
