Apple updates the cover of its website with the download counter from the App Store

App Store Downloads

It's been a few days since the countdown to the 50 billionth App Store download started. To publicize it, Apple created a small section in its application store but to give it even greater visibility, the cover of Apple's official website has been updated with a counter which will stop when the desired figure is reached.

The lucky user to download the 50 billionth download will receive a gift voucher for $ 10.000 to be able to spend it in applications of the App Store, in addition, the next 50 users who make a download, will also take another check for $ 500.

We insist that the counter that Apple has published on its website is merely illustrative and it does not reflect the real point of the downloads, being able to be above or below what it really marks. What is clear is that it is a great claim to encourage all users to try their luck and accelerate the arrival to 50 billion downloads.

The only requirement to participate is be at least 13 years oldIf you do, you can make up to 25 attempts (downloads) a day to be counted in the contest and thus try to be one of the lucky ones.

Last year, the award for downloading 25 billion went to a user from China who downloaded the game Where's my water? Where will luck fall this time?

    Hello,

Maybe I'm saying the obvious and I'm going to look like a cousin, but reading this article has given me to go to the apple website and look at the app counter for a while. It has surprised me because at one point it has gone from 49.658.780.000 to 49.658.759.000 ... Wow, a counterfeit.

I guess it's just an advertising claim, but they could have worked it out a bit more.

Have you really read the article? Even the part where it says the counter is "merely illustrative"?
