Apple wants developers to take advantage of the reviews API in iOS 10.3

As we have already told here, Apple is promoting among those developed a new API that came with the first beta of iOS 10.3. We refer, how could it be otherwise, of the pop-up for reviews that will allow us to easily rate an application without having to enter the iOS App Store. In this way, Apple intends to obtain higher quality reviews, and of course a greater number of them due to the ease of including them. So, Apple wants to promote this new functionality among developers, and this is the initiative it is taking to force them to do so.

As you well know, almost all applications ask us at least once if we want to rate their application, for this they open a pop-up in full application. If we agree and want to rate it, we will accept and it will direct us directly to the iOS App Store, something quite cumbersome and that makes us decide not to rate them. Myself, being honest, I usually prefer to communicate here or via Twitter to our readers that an application is good, but I am extremely lazy to go to the App Store to rate it.

However, Apple has found the perfect way to force users to use its new API. To do this, it is asking developers to use the new API if they intend to include a Pop-Up to request reviews. But why? Well because among other things, the new API includes a section in settings that will allow us to completely disable them, that is, if we deactivate the option, we will have the possibility that this request to rate the applications will never be shown to us.

This it's just one of the many new features that iOS 10.3 brings up its sleeve, but the reality is that we hope they will implement something more interesting. However, we could almost already have our eye on iOS 11 that would arrive in the middle of the year at WWDC and that we will test for you.
