The smart watch of the Cupertino company was from my point of view the King of the past Keynote, the iPhone brought few surprises and something that we already expected. However, Apple has managed to put a lot of technology in a tiny space under the name of Watch Apple. The Apple Watch Series 4 is a design piece capable of many things.
E.g. is capable of identifying Atrial Fibrillation with a 98% reliability according to the latest studies carried out. That's how efficient the Apple Watch Series 4 is and it makes me wonder ... What have the pharmaceutical companies been doing all this time?
From Quartz have shared the first results of a study carried out.
For the necessary medical approval, the FDA and Apple have conducted a study by Stanford University in California. The study called the "Apple Heart Study" included 558 participants, of whom half had Atrial Fibrillation. The application has been able to identify approximately 98% of these patients, and has not given errors in 99% of the patients who were in excellent health.
However, the Apple Watch does not produce a large enough image to help a doctor identify heart disease. Complementary tests must necessarily be carried out in a medical center.
The question here is ... Does anyone really think that a € 400 device would be able to replace medical supplies? Obviously not, the Apple Watch serves to prevent and monitor, not to replace a doctor or the powerful elements that constitute a hospital. Ultimately, they will not be able to cloud the fantastic work that Apple has done with the Series 4, the most complex and efficient retail health and sports tracking device on the market.
