Apple is still not throwing in the towel despite the fact that sales in China and government censorship are making it increasingly difficult for the guys in Cupertino. Last May, Tim Cook made a trip to Asia visiting China and India, a trip that the only thing that helped him was to return with 1.000 million dollars less, after make a significant investment in Uber Chino, which months later has taken over Uber's (official) share in the country and with a market share close to 90%. Regarding the problems with censorship in iTunes Movies and iBooks, Tim Cook was unable to reach an agreement with the authorities and the service remains suspended at least until they reach an agreement that allows filtering the content shown in both stores. This week the head of Apple, Tim Cook, has taken another trip to China, we do not know if for vacation or for pleasure, in which has announced the creation of a new research and development center in the country, a center that would be the first to open the company in Asia but not the only one, since Apple also plans to open another R&D center in Japan in the coming year.
At the moment we do not know the location or the number of employees that will be part of this new R&D center in China, but as the opening date approaches, we will surely have many more details about it. We don't know at the moment how far Apple will continue to focus on ChinA country that has offered it a lot of revenue in recent times but that today due to the rise of Chinese brands, the iPhone is selling less and less, which is affecting the numbers of the Cupertino-based company.
