The popular cross-platform password manager, 1password, is the star of today's news. Apple seems willing to offer a 1password account to all its employees for free.
The same news made reference to a possible purchase of AgileBits -owner and creator of 1password- by Apple. But they have not been slow to deny this part of the news.
1password has become one of the most popular password managersIt has even created a need that seemed non-existent. They have advanced, they have improved and it is not surprising that Apple has it under its radar of purchase possibilities. Still, as confirmed by 1password in its official account:
“The rumors of my acquisition are completely false. My humans and I are very happy being independent and we hope to continue like this ”.
Rumors of my acquisition are completely false. My humans and I are happily independent and plan to remain so.

What does seem true is that Apple plans to give a free subscription to its employees. All of them, including Apple store clerks and their families.
1password is "the next step" that many of us took to Apple's password manager, looking for a better way to create and manage our day-to-day passwords.
Furthermore, it is true that 1password has come to be integrated into iOS and in desktop operating systems it is very easy to install and use un plug-in, but it's not nearly as straightforward as iCloud Keychain (which has also improved a lot in recent years).
With the rumor of purchase denied, The reason why Apple refers its employees to use another service outside Apple remains unknown that replaces one already integrated and created by them. Changes to iCloud Keychain may be coming, or it may just be one of the added benefits of working for Apple.
