Application compatibility is the main novelty of iOS 10.3 beta 3

A few hours ago, the guys from Cupertino released a new update to iOS 10.3, which is currently in beta, the third to be exact, beta that is only available to developers, until probably in a few hours those from Cupertino will launch the iOS 10.3 public beta. The first beta of iOS 10.3 brought us as main news the Find my AirPods function, a new settings menu for our iCloud account where all new devices and information about our account are found, and a new widget for podcasts and weather on maps, as the main novelties.

This third beta has brought us an important novelty that we had not seen in previous betas. This novelty is called Application Compatibility, a new section within the settings where we can find the applications that to this day have not yet adapted to the requirements of iOS 10, and that are still designed for 32-bit systems. Since the arrival of iOS 10, when we install an application that has not been updated for a long time, iOS 10 shows us a poster stating that we can suffer performance problems slowing down the general operation of our device and that they will not work in future versions of iOS if the developer does not update them soon.

This new function within the Settings> Information menu will show us all those applications that do not meet these compatibility requirements. In the last WWDC, Apple announced that starting in September of last year, the company would begin to review each and every one of the applications that had not been updated in a long time, communicating to the developers the decision to withdraw it if it was not updated before. becoming compatible with the latest version of iOS 10.
