Mark Zuckerberg's company has a desire to love know at all times any information about us, which sometimes touches the limits. Both through Facebook and WhatsApp, it is possible to know at all times when was the last time we connected or used the application, a function that we can deactivate.
But it is not the only one, since Instagram just added that damn feature to the app, so that in this way, any of our followers can know when was the last time we accessed our profile and thus check if they have received our message but have stopped answering us.
Fortunately and for users who do not want to see how their privacy is affected, Instagram allows us to deactivate this function through the configuration options, since natively, and as usual, this option is activated. As in WhatsApp, if we deactivate this function, we will not be able to see the last connection time of our contacts. To avoid showing the last time that we have connected, the time shown through the application's messaging service, we must proceed as follows.
- First we open the application and go to the icon that represents our user, located at the bottom right of the screen.
- We then headed up to the cogwheel next to the text Edit Profile.
- In the next menu, we head up to Show activity status and we deactivate the switch.
It is done. This change takes a few hours to take place, so you should not worry if you see that as soon as you make this change that allows us to manage our privacy in the application, it is not immediately reflected. We just have to have a little patience.
