BBVA and BancaMarch available soon on Apple Pay

And the circle closes! When we thought that BBVA, one of the main banks in Spain, had closed the Apple Pay issue with a resounding "no", It has appeared overnight as "available soon."

This action makes the main banks in Spain are on Apple Pay. Santander, BBVA, Bankia and CaixaBank will be available to compete on equal terms in the Spanish market.

BBVA joins the banks and services that We already warned they would be soon, like Sabadell and Bankia. What's more, now BancaMarch will also be available, causing the options of smaller banks to expand.

Of course, We do not know an official date (or rumored) on which we can add our BBVA or BancaMarch card, but the last entities that have appeared in "available soon" have not taken long, a few weeks.

We also do not know what conditions or BBVA cards will be available (credit, debit, etc.) the bank has not yet ruled on the matter. But it is to be assumed that, as the competition has done, it applies to all cards. UPDATED: Here is the Tweet of BBVA.

Apple Pay had a slow start in Spain with Santander exclusively, but since December 2016 (less than 2 years ago), the offer is now enviable. Remember, these are the banks and services that are or will be available in Spain:

I am a client of N26 and BBVA and, as I said at the beginning, the circle of cards has closed and now I can enjoy all of them on my iPhone. Remember that Apple Pay is compatible with the iPhone 6 and later, as well as with all Apple Watch.

To add a card to Apple Pay you must go to the Wallet app on your iPhone and click on the "+" icon. If you only have a compatible Apple Watch, you can add it in the Watch app in the "Wallet and Apple Pay" section.
