Good news for those of you who like to customize your iPhone throughout the system: BytaFont has been updated to its third version and now it is officially compatible with iOS 9. BytaFont 3 allows to install custom font types to use the one we like the most and not have to stick with the default font, the San Francisco which, although it is true that it is a visually attractive font, it is also true that there are users who like to customize everything.
Once we install BytaFont 3 we will see a new icon on the home screen from which we can change some options and use the sources we have or that we have installed from Cydia. There are many types of fonts available that we can use in BytaFont, so much so that Cydia has its own section in Fonts / All Fonts / com.bytafont.bytafont2. They will likely add another section or rename it simply to change the 2 at the end to the 3 in the new version.
What's new in BytaFont 3
- Swap mode for iOS 9.
- Support for new typographic styles in Tweak Mode: Semi Bold, Heavy and Black.
- Cydget support removed: Tweak Mode should be used to customize the lock screen.
BytaFont Tweak Mode, as referred to in the list of new features, is another Cydia tweak that allows you to apply some changes to the device's fonts without having to change some system files. Both tweaks are available for free from the ModMyi repo.
In the previous image you have an example of what BytaFont is capable of doing. Changes can be made both on the lock screen and on the home screen and within some applications, so if you are one of those users who like to modify each and every corner of the iOS image, BytaFont is a must have that you cannot miss.
