iMessage, Apple's messaging protocol that allows us to send messages for free between Mac computers and iOS devices, allows us to send and receive animated GIFs natively although unfortunately, sometimes it is difficult to create our own animations without the appropriate application.
To make up for this lack, camoji is postulated as a perfect application for this function, allowing us to create our own animated GIFs directly using any of the cameras included in the iPhone or iPad.
Camoij's interface lacks buttons and relies solely on gestures tactile that depending on the direction of the gesture, will perform one function or another. Here are all the possibilities that Camoji offers:
- Long press: the GIF recording starts with the camera that we have previously selected.
- Upward movement: we send the recorded GIF using iMessage
- Movement to the left: we removed the GIF from the Camoji library
- Movement to the right: share the animated GIF on other social networks such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter
- Tap on the GIF: we can add text to the animation to personalize it with a specific message.
When we send the GIF, we can access iMessage to see how it is previewed in the application and without a doubt, it will get the sender's attention.
As you can see, Camoji is a really simple to use and very useful for those of you who use iMessage on a daily basis. If this is not your case, then the application will not be of much help to you since in the App Store there are other more complete applications for creating animated GIFs.
Camoji is a free app compatible with iPhone and iPad. The only limitation it has is that a small watermark appears in the GIF created with the application, it is not very intrusive but it advertises the application and reveals our secret to create and send animated GIFs through iMessage.
