The new multimedia systems, both CarPlay and Android Auto offer us an incredible range of possibilities, possibilities as well as distractions while we use them, especially if the vehicle is in operation. Apple has taken advantage of the launch of the first beta of iOS 10.3 to introduce changes in CarPlay, the multimedia platform for vehicles designed by Apple.
Currently, many manufacturers already have this multimedia system as an option for their customers, a system that allows us to access the device's music, as well as the navigation system, text messages, audiobooks, podcasts... and any application that is compatible with this vehicle-oriented multimedia system. Taking into account that today there are not many applications compatible with CarPlay, they are more than enough for any user and in this way we will avoid being distracted more than necessary to change applications.
Now the only thing missing is to open the system to the applications, for me google maps is totally necessary, and it is an application that by monopoly will never allow apple to be in carplay.
Why google maps? Because apple maps has a long, long way to go, navigation and the search for premises / businesses in google maps is not only simple, but it is also integrated with the web and therefore much easier to use.
