A little less than a year ago, Apple announced the acquisition of the rights to the James Corden Carpook Karaoke program The Late Late Show, a program in which the presenter conducts interviews with different celebrities from all walks of life while driving and listening to music. In last September's keynote, Tim Cook attended the presentation of the new iPhone with James Corden as if they were doing one of the episodes of the show officially confirming the agreement they had reached. As we informed you at the beginning of the year, all the episodes corresponding to the first season had already ended, so we were only waiting to know when they would begin to be broadcast through Apple Music.
5 months later, Eddy Cue, head of Apple Music has confirmed via Twitter that the Carpool Karaoke spin-off will be officially launched on August 8 through Apple Music. This spin-off baptized with the name Carpool Karaoke: The Series will have a different format than the one we are accustomed to in its CBS program, since guest stars will not just talk inside a vehicle but they will interact in shops, with the public, in addition to naturally singing the odd song.
excited to roll out #CarpoolKaraoke: The Series on @AppleMusic - Coming August 8!

Carpool Karaoke: The Series consists of 16 half-hour episodes with guests from the likes of Will Smith, Billy Eichner, Metallica, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Seth MacFarlane, Chelsea Handler, Blake Shelton, Michael Strahan, John Cena and Shaquille O'Neal. This program will only be available to all Apple Music subscribers in more than 100 countries. But this will not be the only show to air exclusively through Apple Music, as the reality show The Planet of the Apps, whose recording also ended earlier this year, the announcement of the issue date is still pending.
