Chipgate discredited. All iPhone 6s are the same

apple-a9-iphone-6s

Surely at this time you have already read something about the Chipgate, the latest -gate that tries to make us think that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have a problem for which we should not buy them. Chipgate is known as the fact that Apple has used two different A9 chip providers, one being more efficient than the other. But some tests carried out by Consumer Reports he discredited to Chipgate, although I don't think once and for all.

The medium acquired an iPhone 6s with an A9 chip from Samsung and another from TSMC. They made sure that all settings were configured the same on both devices, including carrier, brightness, wireless connections, iOS version, open apps, etc. Once this first check was done, they got to work.

Consumer Reports' testing went beyond watching a movie on iTunes until the battery was drained. For example, one of the tests they did was to have the phones transmit at a nominal + 10dBm on the same channel while using frequency band 5 at the same time.

There were also several tests with brightness and wear. Another one was running an application that automatically looped different pages while music was playing in the background. The two iPhones arrived at 11am until they were turned off. In all tests, differences were less than 1%.

This means that one of two, either the iPhone 6s that Consumer Reports tested is an exception or that the Chipgate is not real. There is also a third option, which is that they are lying to us for some reason, but it would not make sense to risk their reputation for something like this. So the best of all is that let's not worry whether we buy an iPhone or another, although I must admit that I am the first who does not like that Apple uses different providers for certain components of their devices.

It may be that there is not so much difference in the end, I search and search and I no longer see hardly any information about it, not comparative videos when now there are many more iPhone 6s sold so more possibility of testing ... Almost all the information about it dates from 5 years ago p 6 days.

There are only differences in a battery test, geekbench 3 battery test, when you do this test the sansumg chip iphone runs out before, about two hours before, that's why the news came out, now, it has not been possible to replicate this data with others test of any kind, nor with actual use. Therefore it can be concluded that there are no differences. Greetings

Hi John. They are not all the same. Right now I don't exactly remember who provides it, but I think one is LG and the other is Sharp. What I do know is that there are two different ones.

      A greeting.
