Rayman Classic hits the App Store. Finally a Rayman game that pays off!

When I first saw a game of Rayman on my iPhone, my disappointment couldn't be greater. The title I played on my old PC immediately came to mind, a platform game that had little or nothing to do with what's on the App Store. Yes, okay, iOS games have much better graphics, you just have to take a look at the image above to realize it, but the game itself doesn't have much to do with it. What is available for iOS, until now, are what are known as Runners, where what we have to do is limited to touching a button for the protagonist to jump.

But today I woke up with news that made my day. Rayman's official Twitter account yesterday sent a tweet in which he invited us to search the App Store today Rayman Classic, and accompanied it with an image that looks like the box of a PlayStation game with the background in motion. Did you think the Rayman games for iOS were good? Well, keep reading.

Finally a Rayman game on the App Store that really pays off!

Rayman goes back to the old school on mobile! Look for #RaymanClassic in the App Store Tomorrow!

The main difference between the classic game and the modern ones is that we we will control at all times where the character will go. The sounds, characters and everything else will be very similar, but with the appeal that we will have to know where to go, which can sometimes cause us to get stuck and not know how to move forward. On the other hand, there are also what are known as Puzzles, which will force us to, for example, hit a sequence of "something" in order to open a door (I make this up because I don't remember anything about the game back then).

I have not tried it yet, but from the video in the App Store, it seems to me that it is exactly the same as the game that I already tried on my old PC. Of course, I do not know if it is worth paying the price of € 4,99 that Ubisoft asks us. I really like this type of game, but I think I will pass because it is not available for Apple TV.

Jo and appletv what? Rayman adventures has me hooked, my girlfriend and I play but we want a paid rayman that you pay for and you can play all the time. We want more rayman on appletv. I thought that as a result of the appletv all the games would already be released on appletv as well but I see that they put it aside and continue to bet only on iOS. As Apple does not make it easier for developers or encourages the creation of apps and games on appletv, it is bad.

Hello, Jaranor. You have been as ironing as me. But this is not Apple's fault. They invite developers to create universal applications (which is also true for Apple TV). I am very surprised not to see the Apple TV poster on this Raynan, really. I imagine they will add support in some update.

      A greeting.

    What's wrong…
Rayman Runners for iOS are one of the best games easily on the AppStore.
Mobile phones are such a limited platform in terms of control that it is not enough to make a great game like those of PS1, just watch GTA San Andreas, it can look very good and play fairly well, but it is far from the handling of a console controller.

I prefer a runner on iOS a thousand times than having a shitload of problems controlling specific Rayman shots with just a touch screen

Hello, dudSeven. As you may have noticed by now, I am far from agreeing. I play Street Fighter 2 on an iPhone screen. It is true that it is not the same as a remote with 6 buttons, but I have spent everything with Ryu, for example. And the SF2 has combos and everything.

I have also played others like Swordigo, where the skill of the user is everything. And in these games we are the ones who are in charge, not the game. In the Runners we only move along an already marked path. Plus, MFi controllers have been around for a long time.

      A greeting.

I agree Pablo, they play well, but to say that the new one is the first that is worth it, of course not. The Rayman Runners are great because they are difficult, you need to be very precise to complete them to 100, which the old Raymans lack. Both types of play are great, but neither is above the other. Greetings

But man, get it: the opinions of a post are only of the author 😉 they are not a truth or a law. I am a person who likes old school games more and that is why I say it. But that's for me. It is also a bit exaggerated because it is a game that enjoyed a lot of fame at the time that has now also reached mobile phones.

          A greeting.

But remember that you write in the name of Actualidad iPhoneIf it were a personal blog I would understand.

It is as if a CocaCola Editor begins to criticize on Twitter on some subject, obviously they would delete it because they speak on behalf of the company.
