The evolution of the integration of technology in the classroom is advancing by leaps and bounds. Some years ago computers began to be included, but with the passage of time tablets have gained ground to laptops. IPads are already found in many schools as a platform to support education.
Apple is aware of this evolution and that is why it could be working on a development kit for educational tools and applications. Analysis of the iOS 2 beta 11.3 code has shown ClassKit, what this new framework could be that would allow teachers to make use of more advanced tools to improve their classes.
ClassKit technology could help enrich classes
Although the main novelty of the new beta of iOS 11.3 is the integration of an option to know the real state of the battery of our device, there are some hidden surprises in its source code. One of them falls on a possible new development kit that has been baptized as Classkit that will allow developers a wealth of information, such as a public development kit, to create new tools for both university and non-university faculty.
Although currently Apple has the app Auditorium, to manage student iPads, ClassKit would allow the expansion of application development in the education sector. The source code that has been discovered in the beta of iOS 11.3 indicates that teachers could take tests to students on iPads and the results would arrive via iCloud on their device. What's more, there would be an option to put in full screen permanently to the device, preventing students from exiting the designated applications.
Por el momento no official information about ClassKit, although it could be a trump card that Apple would use in the next keynote in which it would spend part of the time highlighting the role of its devices in education today.
