Cydia Installer now lets you download older packages

It seems that Saurik has not wanted to rest this weekend and yesterday's double update today is joined by a new version of Cydia Installer with important news. Version 1.1.19 already brought the important improvement, which is that it no longer runs as Root, but rather as Mobile and, later, more versions were released with interesting new features, such as saving the backup copy in iTunes, which will allow that after restoring and doing the jailbreak again, our device returns to the same state it was in before the restoration.

Today's update is version 1.1.23 and it comes with the main novelty of allowing us to install an older version of the package. This is important since we can install a package that gives us problems and, until now, we could only wait for the developer to release an update. Now we can go back to the previous version ourselves, something that many users asked for (and we would also like to see in the App Store).

This version also includes another important novelty, that of being able to see tweaks compatible with the applications that we have installed. This novelty will save us a lot of time that we used to spend searching for information online.

The full list of changes is as follows:

It is now possible to download older packages: it is very common for me to throw a package and then discover in the first hours that it has been a step backwards. Even if I upload a new version, the users who upgraded don't have an easy way to downgrade. Now not only can Cydia be Downgraded to the "current" version, but it is also possible to go back to any version available in the repository. From now on, I will leave the previous versions on the server for some time in case users have problems.

Find app extensions: This feature was directly inspired by UnlimApps, who released an extension for Cydia Substrate called TweakHub. The idea: it automatically determines which apps can be modified and used from a list based on the iOS apps you have installed. This technique is exciting and it is not necessary for the repositories or developers to indicate it manually in the packages, something that never quite works.

This new version will appear as an update in the "changes" section within Cydia.

Sorry, it is not very clear to me
Do you have to redo the Jalibreak or is it updated directly?
    Thank you

I NEED HELP, I had a blue screen on my 6-gigabyte iPhone 16 with iOS 8.4 with taig jailbreak, its version is 2.3.0 !! Anyone else have happened?? Recommendations??, .

I turn off the iPhone and after half an hour I turn it on, it turns on the apple and I get a blue screen and it restarts, I have read that it only happens on iPhones 6/6 + of 128 gigabytes ... but they were fixed by the hardware, but it skipped me in one of 16 gigs !!!

Try to restore, either version 8.4 or 8.3, which is still signed by Apple, it should work without problems, then you can try the jail again with the latest version. The failure is not only for the 128 GB, but according to iOS.

Thanks Landa, I have restored to 8.4 because 8.3 is no longer signed by Apple, it is the first time that the blue screen skips!
