Last Thursday we did echo of a discovery made by the developer Andy Wiick. What Wiik discovered was how much has to change so that it does not translate into a dark mode which will be available in iOS 10. At first he only managed to use this black background mode in the Messages application and using the Xcode simulator, iOS Simulator, but it seems that he was not going to give up at that point.
This weekend, Wiik published several images that he has also got from iOS Simulator, but this time it shows a different application, more specifically the iOS 10 Settings. It has done so in the following tweet accompanied by hashtag #darkmodeconfirmed which you have also used in your previous posts related to a dark mode that they should announce or unlock in a future iOS version (or in one of the betas releasing before September).

As we already explained in another article, a dark mode could come as an aesthetic change, but it could also have another function: if the iPhone 7 arrives with a OLED displayUsing black backgrounds will improve autonomy considerably, since in this type of screen only the lit pixels consume energy. In any case, all the rumors suggest that the iPhone 7 will not include an OLED screen and we will still have to wait at least another year.
The funny thing is that Apple did talk about tvOS dark mode, so it is a bit surprising that they did not talk about this option in the last WWDC. Returning to OLED screens, it is possible that Apple does not want to give us clues about what it will present in the future, but it would not be the first time that developers have uncovered the cake before time. Do you think that finally the iPhone 7 Will it include an OLED screen?
