Developers can now offer self-renewing subscriptions

When there is little left for the release of iOS 10 after its official presentation this September 7 at the Apple event, the Cupertino company has implemented some of the biggest changes that the App Store has suffered in terms of revenue for developers.

One of these changes is the ability for developers to include self-renewing subscriptions to all kinds of applications of which Apple has decided that the division of income between the developer and them is 70/30 the first year and 85/15 from the first year. Previously, Apple had restricted subscriptions to streaming services such as Spotify and news applications.

Apple now also offers the possibility of subscriptions for various in-app purchases, so that any developer can include a kind of in-app purchase pack only one. This will not only allow them to offer several purchases together, but it will also be able to adjust the needs of the users with prices that are sure to be lower than with the separate purchase of several.

Each iOS user will be able to manage your various subscriptions from the App Store settings, where all the subscriptions to which you are registered will appear. Here the user will have information about the app they are enrolled in, what in-app purchases they have paid for, the packs they are enrolled in, duration of the subscription, price and the possibility of canceling the subscription itself from there.

However, this is not the only change that Apple has announced for its App Store, it has also announced that will clean the App Store so apps that are out of date or no longer work due to the iOS versions will be retired.

Surely this is a benefit for many of the users who buy often in the applications since the prices will be reduced somewhat when buying the packs, however, we will not know for a while if this has benefited the developers or Apple itself .
