The orchard is a new staff recruitment program launched by Apple whose main objective is to "Learning and mutual growth for the next generation of Apple thinkers and creators."

The orchard It has been published within the Apple job offer but, based on what you have just read, and the characteristics of the program, it is clear that it is much more than a simple job offer.

What is The Orchard?

Only a dozen professionals will be able to access to this new program. These talents of marketing and creativity must have one of the three profiles indicated:

  • Art directors (four participants)
  • Editors (four participants)
  • Strategic planners (two participants)

They will all complete a training program whose duration will be six months, and they will do it together with the Apple communications team.

Good news for all of you who are thinking of submitting your candidacy is that Apple does not require prior professional experience, which is a great advantage in current times. We assume that Apple wants to train the next generation of talents in the company based on its own principles and philosophy, and for this, nothing better than to arrive "clean" of external influences. In fact, candidates who have work experience of more than three years will not be accepted.

How can I apply to the program?

To sign up for The orchard you will have to write and send a cover letter accompanied by your CV and the best samples of your work in advertising, marketing or design that endorse your "talent or passion for communication."

The deadline for receiving applications ends on November 4. Then, a committee will review the nominations, hold interviews via FaceTime, and select a few finalists who will be transferred to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino. There they must pass a personal interview that allows them to join the company on January 16, 2017.

Needless to say, if you are one of those selected, you will receive a salary and also an aid for the transfer and accommodation.
