Dropbox is updated allowing saving Safari pages

dropbox

The world's most popular cloud storage provider has received the latest of its updates for iOS, along with exciting new features such as application extensions and a large list of bug fixes. Starting today, users who have activated the Dropbox extension for Safari can save entire web pages as PDF files, thus allowing us to quickly store some data in our favorite cloud and not have to make the typical .png capture to later upload it. Without a doubt, this new option that Dropbox allows us is quite useful.

Recently Dropbox was also updated to add full support for iOS 9 as well as 3D Touch functionalities, so they are undoubtedly in high development hours. However, this option to save a web page in PDF already was previously available through the iBooks extension, but many prefer to store this type of data in their trusted cloud, so the new function is totally welcome, since now we can access that PDF of the web page from almost any device. The application has also included a series of improvements and bug fixes that will allow us to use the application more easily, here we list them:

What's New in Version 4.1

• The "Save to Dropbox" extension for the application now allows saving PDF versions of Safari websites (iOS 8 and 9 only) (to enable it, tap the Safari share icon and activate the extension in the "More" section )
• Copy files and folders (select multiple items or tap the down arrow to copy)
• Added support for Touch ID when using extensions in the app
• Small improvements have been made to make the app more efficient when using device space
• The handling of international characters has been improved when viewing files sorted by name.
• Accessibility improvements
• Discard gesture works best for closing action menu and comment files
• Now "file" or "folder" appears after the file or folder name
• Fixed a rare bug where folders with Greek characters were not loading or generating links
• Fixed a bug where photos were blurred with a data connection on iPhone 6 or later devices
• Several cases have been corrected to reduce annoying crashes
