Elgato eve room sensor
The Accessory manufacturers are already beginning to unveil the first devices they will manufacture for Apple's home automation system. HomeKit is expected to start its journey from next day 8, so companies such as The cat o iHome They have pressed the accelerator and soon we will be able to reserve the first devices that these manufacturers will be able to at our disposal.
The two proposals (four in the case of Elgato) show that home automation has a great future. It is true that it will not be soon, but in the future we will be able to control practically our entire house from our watch, mobile phone or perhaps with microphones placed in each room (I imagine a general future, I am not just talking about Apple)

Elgato proposes several devices. eve room It serves for monitor air quality, temperature y moisture. Measurements are made by analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOCs). eve weather focuses on outside air temperature and pressure. eve door & window will allow us to check if the doors and / or windows are open or closed and will provide statistics of time and duration. By last, eve energy will tell us how much energy our appliances are using. All sensors can be controlled with the Elgato app or with HomeKit using Siri.
All eve devices are now available for reservation on their website and will arrive at the Apple Store from July. The prices of the devices are as follows:

iHome iSP5 SmartPlug
IHome iSP5 SmartPlug Adapter
The iHome proposal seems much simpler. Basically it is an accessory that we can plug into any outlet to turn any device on and off. For example, if we are leaving the house and we remember that we have forgotten to turn off a light, we ask Siri and this SmartPlug + HomeKit will do the rest. As I see it, the iSP5 SmartPlug can come in handy if we have air conditioning at home. We could activate the air conditioning 10 minutes before arriving home and we would have our home warm in winter and cool in summer by the time we arrive.
The iSP5 SmartPlug can be reserved from June 15th.
