Little by little, new banks are being added to the list of entities compatible with Apple Pay. Mobile payments are becoming more and more frequent. And why not say it, they are also more comfortable. Although other banks are expected to be added sooner, EVO Banco and Caja Rural will be the following.
They are not rumors, but both EVO Banco and Caja Rural as well as Apple itself have made the announcement official. And on Apple's own website, both entities are already listed as "Available soon." They have not left more information about it; In other words, we do not know for sure from which day the customers of both financial institutions will be able to add their cards to Apple Pay to start making payments with their iPhone or Apple Watch.
If the movements are the same as in previous banks, the entity itself will notify you by email; through social networks or through a message in its own app for iOS. So, we currently have the following banks in Spain that work with Apple Pay: ImaginBank and CaixaBank, N26, boon., Santander, OpenBank. The list continues to grow, although there are still banks as important as BBVA, Bankinter or Deutsche Bank.
On the other hand, if you are a client of Sodexo, the service that allows you to enjoy services such as Restaurant Pass, Transportation Pass and Business Pass You should also know that you will not need to go from one place to another with the loyalty card or with the checks; it is another of the services added to Apple Pay - more market share for Apple and its mobile payment service (60.000 customers to be exact) -. That is, you can pay in hotels, restaurants, gas stations, public transport and even taxis with your iPhone or Apple Watch if you are from Sodexo. It is terrible how slow banks are joining Apple Pay and I think that, at least in Spain, it will still take many years to be able to use the service with any bank ... Some continue to bet on technologies such as sticking a sticker on mobile phones (BBVA for example ) instead of integrating technology like Apple's.
