In recent months, Facebook Messenger is growing at a dizzying rate. Mark Zuckerberg's company, after being fined 110 million euros, wants to turn Messenger into a real alternative to great applications like WhatsApp (which they bought in 2014) or Telegram. But they don't want to follow their same patterns, they want Facebook Messenger have the social component that other applications do not have, and for the moment he is succeeding. In a few days we will see a new update of your app with a new design in which more importance will be given to the way in which users communicate with each other, in a visual way.
Small changes that keep Facebook Messenger growing
The new design is meant to highlight the many other ways that people connect and communicate, beyond text messages.
They have already said it from Zuckerberg's company: there is life beyond text messages. Facebook Messenger has more options to maintain communication with our friends: video calls, games, voice calls, sending images and videos ... although it is not something characteristic of Messenger, if the conception they have about communication is typical of Facebook.
The new update of Facebook Messenger brings a small redesign of the app and will be available on the App Store throughout the week. This new design allows you to see much more directly than in the previous design who are connected. If we make a comparison between the old and the new design, we can see a new element that changes the structure of the application: the top bar.
In this bar we will have three sections: messages, in which we can check the history of messages with all users; connected, to quickly see which friends are online as I have commented previously; and finally, the groups, that are separated from individual conversations.
This displacement of the groups from the lower bar to the new upper bar allows a new section to be placed: Games, at the bottom, to quickly access the games available on Facebook Messenger with which we can have a good time with our friends.
I do not understand, I already have that update with that new design for a week or so ...
In the end they will end up with WhatsApp 😀
