Facebook officially launches Workplace to compete with Slack

We had already talked about the new Facebook project, whose intention is to also offer a business solution to organize work environments. This Facebook business solution is called Workplace and is now fully available from its website and as an iOS app. We are going to talk about this new Facebook software that also intends to enter our workIt seems that Facebook is not enough to own a large part of our free time, now it wants to accompany us to work as well. Workplace seems like a brand somewhat outside of Facebook, but we all know how Mark Zuckerberg's company works.

With Workplace, Facebook intends to compete with applications such as Slack and Hitchat, taking advantage of the familiarity of users with the social network, to create collaborative work environments taking advantage of its tools. However, for this initiative to really make sense, we have to look at the prices, since Facebook wants to enter through the big door in this regard, they are not only really low, but they decrease as the users of the platform are more. While Slack charges around € 6 per month per user, Facebook starts to charge only € 1 per user per month.

We do not mean to say that Workplace is going to become the definitive alternative, since it will be necessary to test it to see if it definitely works as promised, although if it takes advantage of what the Facebook systems and tools say, lor more logical is that its performance is unmatched, and it will surely progress over time. What may perhaps be more shocking is the fact that Zuckerberg's company is also present in our working relationships.

Among other things, Facebook Workplace will offer us the ability to create groups and chats, and collaborate with colleagues directly from them. What we do not know is if Facebook will choose to integrate Messenger with Workplace in the future, although everything points to yes.
