FaceTime, the official video conferencing application for iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G, could incorporate improvements. A forum user Multi Touch Fans (formerly called iPod Touch Fans) has found a line of code that could refer to group video conferencing:
AllowsMultipleConnections (translated into Spanish: "allow multiple connections")
Several days after Skype added the ability to make group video calls (although for now only under the Windows client), it seems logical that Apple also follow these steps. Apple's difficulty would be the limitation imposed by the screen size of currently supported devices, so it seems more viable in a - also rumored - future iPad with a front camera.
Previously, there was also talk of the possibility of FaceTime coming in desktop format, making iChat compatible with Mac OS and releasing a new client for Windows. We will check everything in due time.
For those who dare to tinker a bit, the code is in the file /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/IMCore.framework/imagent.app/PlugIns/FaceTime.imservice/ServiceProperties.plist

Feasible I see it. The screen is divided into four (maximum 4 videoconferences) and you in the center of the screen.
