The new iPhone 8 and iPhone X are the first Apple terminals to be compatible with fast charging through a USB-C cable, a fast charge that took longer than necessary, since for several years it was in some terminals of the competition.

The devices that have been analyzed to perform this test, in addition to the new iPhone models, are the OnePlus 5T, the LG V30, the Google Pixel 2, and the Galaxy Note 8. To use fast charging on the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the guys at Tom's Guide have used 29 watt wall charger with USB-C to lightning cable.

During the first 30 minutes We see how the fast charging system of the OnePlus 5T, a terminal that has only been on the market for a few days, is capable of charging up to 57% of its battery capacity, while the LG V30 reaches 53%. For its part, iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus score 50%, 49% and 47% respectively. Finishing the classification, we find how the Google Pixel 2 reaches 38% charge after 30 minutes using the fast charging system, while the Galaxy Note 8 reaches 35%.

Using the 29 watt charger and the USB-C to lightning cable, the iPhone 8 reaches 80% in one hour of charge, the iPhone 8 Plus reaches 79% charge while iPhone X reaches 81% charge.

If we do using the charger that comes standard with every new iPhone, with the iPhone 8 we reach a 30% charge in 30 minutes in an hour. With the iPhone 8 Plus we reach a 26% charge after 30 minutes and 55% in an hour.     My iPhone 8 Plus with the 12W iPad charger charges the battery from empty by 51% in 30min. Checked several times by myself, so I see no difference with the 29W and the USB-C cable according to that study.
