Finance apps to keep expenses in check

euros

It may seem like an activity of a control freak or a money ant, but in reality, having a minimum control over what we spend can help us to know how manage the money necessary for those dreams for which we never have money.

Finance applications can be as detailed as we want and are simple to use by all of us, without the need to do a master. The more control you want, you will have to include more consumptions in the app, if you only want an approximation, you will have to detail it less, but wouldn't it be good to use those subway routes to include expenses every day and thus know where the money is going?

Mint

Open an account, add credit cards, loans and retirement plans, all this will be rated by this optimized app for iOS 7. Easy to use, intelligible graphics and personalized budgets to know the actual expenses. This app is protected by a Four-digit PIN, If you lose your iPhone, no one will have access to your accounts. Your system synchronization allows you to access your accounts from the iPad, iPhone and the Web.

BUDGT

This is the least messy budgeting app I've ever used. Not only is it easy to use, the interface is straightforward and makes sense. Simply set a budget for the different categories and then keep track of the expenses you incur. BUDGT will take care of the control and let you know at a glance where you have to stop spending and where you still have a margin.

YNAB

YNAB (You Need A Budet) requires desktop app what can you download on their website. With this app you can work with your transactions, review the balances by categories to know if you are within budget, etc. I know synchronize with all the devices in which you have YNAB installed, so it is also optimal for controlling the economy of all members from a family.

Splitwise

Splitwise is a very useful application that allows you to divide any type of invoice into parts, If you are like ordinary mortals and need to go to "cleavage" with your friends, this app makes it easy, be it a single invoice or the total cost of a shared trip. It also allows track the money you lend others.

I had been told that the latest update produced many errors and that is why I did not include it. We will give it a try.
      Thanks for your contribution !

I also used Moneybook like Edgar until I discovered LiveExpenses. LiveExpenses does much more than MoneyBook. You can view expenses by different categories, by days, weeks or even by years. You can add a photo or a note to each expense. Includes coins from around the world. LiveExpenses is free, for the mentioned functions you have to unlock with micropayments, if it convinces you it also has a paid one with all the functions unlocked. It is true that the payment is a bit expensive (5,49). I was looking for this type of app for a long time, in the end I stayed with LiveExpenses for simplicity and easy to use.

Well I think this post should be a copy of another in English: Mint is not sold more than in the American Apple Store, moneyWell I have tried it and the synchronization does not work. And there are many others, I do not know why YNAB is quoted if it is rated with only one star ... Come on, investigating a little more will find better options.
I'm now with MoneyWiz and I'm doing fine for now, but I've had to try dozens of them, and this article wouldn't have helped me much ...
    Thanks for the blog.

Well Guillermo, I'm glad you made this comment. I have read many reviews of products from the Spanish and American store and these are the options that I have found the most sense. It is not a copy of another post, but the result of having a Spanish and an American account, you would have to try it, the truth is that there are many alternatives.
As for the stars, it is honestly not relevant to me, it is a means of uploading an app and increasing sales, to test it, go to a category and look for the list of the best sellers and you will see that you find apps that have zero stars and millions of downloads, it's simple laziness….
Thanks to you for commenting, you have given me the opportunity to explain some more things that are always in the pipeline.

I do well with MoneyWell Express, it is easy and fast, I like the way I can access it and the automatic synchronization.
It is definitely a portable assistant 24 hours a day, I can see my old transactions to see what I have spent and how much, the graphs detail absolutely everything and with very good resolution. Regarding the other apps, I have heard that they are good, I would have to try them and decide whether to switch or not.

I always recommend "Spendee" to my acquaintances and friends, although it is not free ($ 2 for iOs), it is worth it. Personally I like the graphics and how easy it is to export agoogle drive. My favorite of the free apps was Mint when I was an Android user.
