It seems that after the uproar with the acquisition of WhatsApp by the social media giant, Facebook, things have more or less returned to normal, something to which the CEO of Facebook himself assured that it has undoubtedly contributed. WhatsApp would continue to be independent from Facebook, and that the acquisition would not mean major changes in the most popular and widespread instant messaging service in our area. But this did not mean that there will not be, and it was not long before it was announced that WhatsApp would soon include a VoIP calling service, something that will undoubtedly be welcomed by the millions of users of the application. Today they come to us the first images (supposed) of this call service that will not take long to offer WhatsApp.
The images come from iPhoneItalia, and in them you can see an interface very similar to the iOS 7.1 Phone app, with the rounded button instead of the bar that has characterized iOS 7 since its inception. It will also allow to go from the call to the message chat by pressing a button. You can also see how when exiting the call screen, a green upper bar indicates that there is a call in progress, as in iOS 7, being able to return to the call by pressing it.
A new button appears in the bar just above the keyboard. To the right of the space for writing the message, a camera icon appears. It seems that WhatsApp finally adds a specific shortcut to add photos to our messages, instead of having to navigate through various menus until we reach our reel.
Contrary to what happens most of the time when a giant acquires a "minor" application, it seems that this time it has been good news for users. Perhaps the eternal waits for WhatsApp to update with improvements have come to an end.
