Today it finally appeared in the Apple Store online, along with the launch of the new iPhone 12 Pro Max and Mini, but with the announcement of "soon available", without even allowing the reservation of it. This small double charger, the size of a card holder and that you can carry comfortably in any trouser pocket without hardly bulging, allows you to recharge your iPhone 12 (any model) taking advantage of the virtues of the fast wireless charging of the MagSafe system, or any other iPhone with wireless charging at the traditional speed of 7,5W. You can also use it to recharge your AirPods Pro or AirPods with a wireless charging box, and at the same time place an Apple Watch in the other charging station.
It is an expensive charger, even when compared to other top quality multiple chargers such as those offered by Belkin, Mophie or Nomad. The € 149 for the MagSafe Duo is hardly justifiable if we also add the fact that The power adapter is not included, it will cost you another € 25 if you opt for the Apple one. It does include the one meter long Usb-C to Lightning cable. But after watching the video the truth is that you fall in love at first sight, even with the defect that it does not have enough weight to remove the iPhone without having to hold the charger with the other hand.
