A year ago, Fitbit made headlines for being forced to recall your Force bracelet because the material from which the strap was made could cause allergies or skin irritations of some users.
Although the problem was studied so that it would not happen again, Fitbit falls into the same error again again. Apparently some customers have complained that their activity wristbands are causing skin irritations after normal use of the product.
The affected products correspond to the new line of activity monitors that Fitbit introduced a few weeks ago, that is to say, the model Charge, Charge HR and Surge. If cases of skin irritation caused by wearing these bracelets continue to appear, Fitbit will be forced to withdraw them from the market and offer a refund to users.
What can cause this type of irritation? Obviously, you may be allergic to the material with which the strap is made, however, wearing the bracelets too tight can also contribute to the occurrence of this type of pathology. The sweat, water or soap that remains between the bracelet and our skin can also promote irritations.
In any case, before the slightest sensation of itching or redness that may give us the signs of a possible dermatitis, the first thing we have to do is take off the bracelet. Presumably after a few hours or several days, the problem is resolved. Still, the best in these cases is to go to the doctor and use Fitbit to report the situation.
Well, I have a Charge HR and I have no problem with it.
The Apple watch will not only not irritate your skin but it will also hydrate it, tone it up and rejuvenate it ..,
I have the Charge since the month of November and without problems of any kind and I only take it off to get in the shower because I do not like to wear anything in those moments of so much privacy hehe, but I said without any problem to date .
And by the way that of: «new line of activity monitors that Fitbit presented a few weeks ago», it gives me that a few months ago more than weeks ago.
So far without problems with the Charge HR either ...
10 days ago I bought the Charge HR and on the third day of wearing it my skin started to get irritated on the side of the zipper. I took it off, washed it, and had to take an antihistamine. I rested from it for two days and put it on again and again the same, itching ... and taking antihistamine. Much to my regret, I returned it to the store, I loved the benefits ... but if I can't wear it all day because it causes me an allergy ... it's no use to me 🙁
I bought the Surge back in January and everything was fine UNTIL A FEW WEEKS AGO. The part of my wrist where I wear the bracelet has started to itch, theoretically I think the problem is that the skin does not perspire when wearing it for 24 hours and / or that when it produces sweat due to the obvious physical activity it generates some type of dermal reaction -allergic.
I have been using an Inspire hr since Christmas and I have had 3 allergies so far, it is in the part of the strap where it causes irritation, I change it from arm to arm and I take off the bracelet to bathe but not even like that, I have written to FITBIT with my complaint, to see what they tell me.
