Airplanes are one of those wonders of the modern age that allow us to go to the other end of the globe in less than a day ... as long as we take the plane and there is no problem. And to be fully informed and with the possible delays foreseen there is nothing better than FlightTrack Pro, I say this from my own experience.
First Steps
FlightTrack Pro is an application that is useless at all if you are not traveling, and I think it is better to say it in time. It is not like Flightboard that has a curious touch, here either you use it when flying or it is as an ornament. But if you are one of those they fly frequentlye this application is a safe investment since it will allow you to access all the imaginable details of your flight.
The first thing that we find when starting the application is the screen with the flights that we have added and the possibility of adding one. The facilities are maximum since we can do it through three different possibilities: by the flight number that the operator has assigned, by the itinerary that the plane is going to make -indicating the airline- and also by airport through Flightboard, an option for which we will have to pay something more and it is not too worth it.
All you need
Once we add the flight, we find all the information that will come in handy: the departure times in local time, the stopovers -if there are any- and the flight number in full. But the interesting thing comes when we enter the details of a flight, since here we have information that will be very useful to us.
We have four buttons at the bottom that reveal four key functions:
- Flight information: plane we take, flight number, time and state in which we can see if there are planned delays
- Schedule: We can see the flight schedules in more detail, but the best of all is to see the historical forecast of delays on that route, which can be really useful to know if we will arrive on time.
- Journey: Here we can see the route or routes that we are going to do on the plane.
- Further information: Terminal maps, possibility to call the flight operator, alternative routes and alerts about what is happening.
In short, we are facing the more complete application of the entire App Store to manage our flights, there is no doubt about that.
It is fine, but it is excessively expensive for what it ends up doing. Let me explain, in the end you do not avoid having to look at the airport panels, you can not stop trusting although it is good to be added to the calendar automatically and update
I have bought Flight + and for 0,89 I get almost the same utility
This app is excellent, I have used it for a long time together with the flight board, when it is not exact it is because the airline has not provided the information, if it is a world-renowned airline it is always going well.
Yes, but those same data is handled by Flight +. I mean that paying € 8 for an application is not guaranteeing you to be right since it depends on the data provided by third parties (same as 0,89)
