Force Band will allow you to control the BB-8 with force

The wait for fans and for those of us who are not so much to see the latest movie of Star Wars ended last month. From the day we saw for the first time the trailer for episode 7 of Star Wars, which is called "The Force Awakens", we began to see all kinds of articles related to the saga, among which I I think the most liked is the Sphero BB-8, the last droid to arrive in the Star Wars galaxy. What would be nice would be to be able to control it with force, right? Well, this is "possible" thanks to Force band.

Sphero has been looking for new ways to control its star item of the moment. What he has thought of is a bracelet, the one you see in the image above these lines, which will allow us control droid BB-8 with gestures. This would add some appeal to the already endearing droid, especially if we want to show a friend that our little robot listens to our movements, for which it would be nice to cover the bracelet with the sleeve of our shirt.

The downside, and also understandable, is that Sphero does not plan to give the bracelet away in future sales, but rather will be sold separately. It is also something that seems fair to me or else the early adopters of the little droid would have paid the same as the new buyers and would have an item that offers fewer features.

BB-8

With the Force Band on our wrist, BB-8 will follow the movement of our hand and we can make it roll on itself or make it move forward / backward. Those who have seen his demonstration at CES in Las Vegas say that it has not worked very well there, but that it was expected due to the amount of wireless signals that are currently in the venue. They also warn us that we will have to be careful when controlling our BB-8 with the Force Band or we will make it have many accidents. In any case, I imagine this will get better with practice.

The Force Band will be available starting this fallSo if you have a BB-8 and want to control it with gestures, you will still have to wait. Sphero hasn't mentioned the price, so we don't know how much it will cost yet. Taking into account that it will arrive from September, I believe that the Force Band can be purchased for about € 20 or less. In any case, its price will be lower than if it had been released at this time, when the premiere of episode 7 of Star Wars is still in theaters. Something good had to bring us the wait.

You are confusing the words 'drone' and 'droid', which have nothing to do ... regarding the news, interesting ... I already have my Sphero BB8 for a few days (self-gift for Christmas) and it's amazing, but the bracelet does not quite convince me, I think it would lose a lot of precision. And it has to be well polished, if you don't plan to take it out until autumn ... I'll give it € 45-50. If it were a crappy bracelet that could do the droid's most basic actions, they could have taken it out right now and put it up for sale for little money.

Thanks for the warning. I have noticed when I was writing it, but it has still happened to me once, precisely the first time.

      Cheers and thank you again.
