I'm getting a taste for titles X + X = Y, but I hope they don't bother you because I like how they look. Well, what I'm going to do is lose myself. II think that more than one, two and three will have a free iPhone (whatever it is), so this interests you a lot, as long as you are Pusheros.
As I read in Applesfera, the guys from Apple have not cut themselves and have decided that if you want Push, do not unlock your iPhone. And all this comes from some statistics that have come to light, which reveal that almost all Push's data traffic is carried out on non-released terminals.
And here comes my question, more than anything because I am interested in knowing it for a future purchase: Do any of you have an iPhone bought free (in the UK for example) and does the Push work? Interesting, and a lot.
Obviously I mean out-of-box iPhones, no touching them (although I'm the first to jailbreak everything I catch). I ask because almost everyone (except the people who get into the world more) has their iPhone without jailbreak and without releasing ... and knowing if a factory-free iPhone without touching receives push interests me a lot (family things).
It really surprises me that you ask users this, since PUSH is possible on released iPhones, there is a Fix that is installed from Cydia and we are left with the PUSH, but the bad thing about having that Fix is that the battery lasts VERY LITTLE !! DO NOT install it!
I have one released from the factory bought in Europe and the perfect push works for me
Apple is supposed to block the push notification service on illegally activated iphones ...
If they were to block those who buy factory-released iPhones, they could use the night badly, many lawsuits, I imagine.
What did Dev-Team say about this? they are the authority ... surely they are already working on this !!
you have to find out!
All this mess is due to the fact that Applesfera has not used the terms "free" and "liberated" well.
I made it very clear almost a month ago in this post https://www.actualidadiphone.com/2009/06/24/apple-corta-las-notificaciones-push-a-los-iphones-no-activados-legalmente/
See if you please use the terms well, push notifications do not work well with terminals "not legally activated". One thing is the unlocking process (Unlock), which can be "legal" or not and I think that Apple does not care in the case of push and another thing is the activation process (Activate) that is carried out when you activate the phone from iTunes, this is the important one for push notifications.
Hola!
I bought a free terminal and Push notifications work perfectly for me. Although the battery lasts very little with the Push activated.
Regards!!
I =. I have a Free Iphone from Czech Republic and Push running without problems
Hello, I have the timofonica iphone, released with the ultrasnow and I use vodafone and everything works for me ,, push, mms, tethearing, without problems so far, in the specific case of push notifications I use the beejiveIM and it is going great! !
Like manolo the one with the bass drum, I have it released with vodafone and it works like a charm, even few things I do to make it work as explained here.
And another detail ... in the UK they do not sell them free. In Europe only in Italy, Belgium and Czech Rep.
Hi Manolo?
How did you manage to activate tethearing and MMS in vodafone without problems.
I don't get it.
I have informed myself with this.

to those who have the push fix installed, I recommend that they fix the push in the other way, by ssh and taking the certificates from a legal iphone and putting them in the hacktivate.
the push fix gives the same certificates to all the iphones that have it installed, the problem with this is that the push works but not as well as it should and sometimes you get notifications that should have reached another iphone and not yours .
Indeed Gonzalo, I put on the Push Fix and it is not fine at all, I have even received a notification that it was not for me:
http://twitpic.com/9mfza
Let's see how I manage to chorizar the certificates to a colleague ... surely someone falls.
per se. you don't have to fool anyone, just ask them. I have a friend's and he has the same applications as me and it suits me well, without confusion or anything.
speaking of push, what of Gpush in the end in which it was? going to get ahead? On the other hand, is there a push messaging application that works well? Better free, but if it is paid, nothing happens.
@Gonzalo
How do you do that to get the certificates from another iPhone (what are the certificates?) Please give me the explanation in detail
I'm not working the push notifications hopefully you can say which are the certificates so that mine also works thanks I put the push fix but it does not work for me
What I think is a superb MOON is that Apple blocks the push system on released iphones (redsnow, ultrasnow, etc) but does not block the app store
This notifications gives me problems, it happens that I bought the Beejive a long time ago and I have my Itunes account blocked by an unpaid application in those days the Beejive update arrived and since I could not download it from iTunes, I downloaded the latest version which until A day ago it worked for me now I get no paid license found and I do not receive any notification from Skype or IM, what could this be?
that is solved by paying your application
@ XboSS late but I answer… I'll tell you how to do the certificates:
we need: a legal iphone 3g with the jailbreak done, we must have installed: mobileTerminal and Openssh
We download these files from this link: http://idisk.mac.com/ (Forget the certificates from that link, since we are going to release some new certificates) we will only need inject and nimble.
first we ssh to the iphone, remember that the user is root and the password is alpine.
second: we go to the / private / var / keychains / folder and put the file nimble.
third: we open the terminal and write:
su and press enter and it will ask us for the password that is alpine (when you write it you do not see what you write)
then we write: cd / private / var / Keychains (the uppercase K in keychain)
then we write: chmod 0755 nimble (this is to give permissions 755)
and then we write: ./nimble (this is to execute the file)
fourth: by ssh we enter the keychains folder again and we will find the certificates that are:
youtube-cert.bin
- youtube-key.bin
- push-cert.bin
- push-key.bin
make a copy of this on your computer desktop.
now the steps to put these certificates in the iphone that you want to fix the push:
First of all we must eliminate the applications that use push and eliminate pushfix. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
We enter by ssh the iphone that we want to fix and go to the / private / var / keychains / folder
We put the certificates and the inject file in the folder:
- youtube-cert.bin
- youtube-key.bin
- push-cert.bin
- push-key.bin
- inject
we open the mobileterminal and write:
first we write: su and it will ask us for the pasworld and we write: alpine (when we write the password we do not see what we write)
then we write: cd / private / var / Keychains
then: 'chmod 0755 inject' (this is to change the permissions from the iphone)
and finally: ./inject
We restart the mobile and reinstall the applications using push notification.
anything do not hesitate to ask me, that in time I can answer
@kiskeyano.
your solution with beejive is very easy. You just have to send an email to the support of the page (you get this email within the application)
with a copy of the invoice of the application, either a photo or the copy paste of the same, and the id of the iphone. and they respond by telling you that they will work on it and in less than a day they will solve it for you.
@xboss if the link on the page does not load, give me your email and I will send you the nimble and inject files by email.
@xboss in this link below you have the download link http://outgoing.ipodtouchfans.com/?d=aHR0cDovL2JpdC5seS9GeEJ0Wg~~
… by the way:
x + x = 2x
Gonzalo, you do know
@Gonzalo.
thanks man.
I already know what to do, now I need to locate a legal 3g .. hahahaha the pod is going to be difficult, of my friends I am the only one with 3g ...
hugroma@gmail.com
There I leave my mail in case someone who has a legal 3g wants to give me their certificates !!!
thanks to all!!!
look ... there is another solution if you want to fix the push in a 3g ... it is very simple ... and you will have your own certificates.
put an at & t sim on your iphone and restore it by jailbreaking it again. When you see the waiting for activation, download the ultrasn0w, restart the iphone with your at & t card inside and when you turn on you put the sim of your tester and it will tell you, activation complete and the push will work perfectly.
no ssh and no push fix ...
look, and without restoring it.
you need an at & t card, you delete the ultrasn0w ... and you enter by ssh to the folder: / var / root / Library / Lockdown / activation_records and you delete the wildcard_record.plist file with the at & t card inside, go to settings and deactivate the 3g. connect the iphone to itunes and you will see waiting for activation. and you reinstall the ultrasn0w and put your sim and that's it. remember to have the sim of at & t inside. until you reinstall the ultrasn0w
Gonzalo you are a crack, very well explained.
The method you mention is the first one that I applied because I was eager to try the push, later it came out push fix and I used it too ... but what is really important is to get some certificates that are not "common knowledge", you understand me ... Let's see if a friend who does not spend much on the iPhone «lends them» to me
@Gonzalo
the certificates of an iphonetouch ... wonder not to screw up!
@Gonzalo
I can use the certificates of an iphonetouch ... I ask not to screw up!
@XBoSS
if you mean an ipod touch, I think they work, but most likely you will have the problem that your iphone will receive notifications 15 minutes later. I recommend you look for the best iphone.
Hello everyone, I am desperate because I have a free iPhone 3G from Italy and the push notifications do not work for me, when I updated to 3.0 they worked perfectly, I installed push fix, do not ask me because, just in case I suppose and I started playing the fool, applications came to me of others and one good day it stopped working, now nothing works, I talk to Apple and I have been waiting a week for an answer from him, I do not know how it can be that I can not receive it, someone who can help me since I used them a lot…. a method i can follow to fix it ??? porfavooooooor ???
If it is free you should not have installed the push fix because they should go
Uninstall push fix and all applications that use push.
Reboot just in case and install again one that takes push and tests.
@ Segio… don't delete the pushfix because I think you're going to run out of certificates… I recommend restoring it, make your backup and start from 0. It is the best solution for when we screw up.
I would tell you that you will look for some certificates, but you have a free iPhone that will always give you good certificates, so it is the best option.
(apple will not answer you anything about that)
Gonzalo thanks for answering but I already deleted push fix restore and synchronize to recover my apps and contacts or such, now I'm without jailbreak but they don't go, I have not been given certificates or I don't know what happens hd tried everything restore and try without synchronizing and nothing, synchronize and bolver z try and nothing, what steps do you think I should follow to solve it ???
Sorry about the bolver hehehe writing from the iphone sometimes is what you have, I will not do it again ... 🙂
Hello, nobody knows how I can fix it pliiis?
@Gonzalo
I like the option to restore it with the at & t sim, but in my country, I bought the iphone 3g with telefonica movistar, which is the one that distributes them in my country, but I have it released and with jailbreak, I want to update to 3.0, to That the push works for me, I update it with that sim movistar, or does it have to be with one of at & t ??????
I await your answer, thank you very much in advance ..
Well, mine is from Movistar, jailbroken and released through ultrasnow and the push works perfectly for me. Although it may be because I installed the 3.0 beta version that ran just after the keynote on June 8th by download servers. Nu Sep.
@George
Update it with the one from Movistar ... When it tells you waiting for activation, do the ultrasn0w and that's it.
Javier, a question: Did you buy the Iphone 3Gs in Czech Republic free of origin ????? Is trustworthy? Would you tell me where you bought it and how do I ask for it so that they understand me ???? Thanks a lot !!!
I have the original iPhone that is activated with the att sim, in my country the official distributor of the iPhone is movistar, can I activate it with a Movistar sim without problems? Thank you in advance for answering greetings
Hi Gonzalo,
I am reading all your comments and there is something that is not very clear to me, I have seen that it says activating the iPhone by iTunes and it goes into a similar mode to synchronizing data, HERE do I have to wait for it to activate it? and already activated I apply the ultrasn0w I turn it off even with the official chip and put the chip of the company that I want to use and turn it on. I get lost in these steps, could you help me on msn?
Hello, you already did it to more or less my understanding and it does not work for me which means that I did not do it well since as soon as I activate the push I stop receiving calls as it deviates them. I have a question when installing the UltraSn0w is it through ssh?
@critedpher
look, it's very simple ...
1- you restore your iPhone with the legal card inside (I restored it directly with the custom restore from pwaned)
so when the restoration finishes you have the cydia inside and everything you need.
2- the iPhone will tell you «connect your iTunes for activation» then you connect it. (all this with the official sim inside)
3- when you connect it, it will tell you waiting for activation. At that moment you go to cydia and install the ultrasnow and once installed you turn off your iPhone (without disconnecting it from the computer)
4- when you turn it on and once it is turned on, it will tell you again "waiting for activation" and when that comes out, you change the sim for that of your provider.
5- in which the iPhone detects your operator, you will get «activation complete».
And so you have your iPhone with its own certificates.
My iPhone uses ultrasnow and this was
my method to have 100% push.
I hope I can help you with this.

Here I leave you how to do this and with images.
http://iphonefanatico.com/2009/07/27/como-obtener-certificados-push-originales-para-el-iphone-3g/
Sorry, but would someone be so kind to send me the permissions to activate the push in a 2G?
Another question I have is, if I uninstall pushfix, can't it be that I run out of permissions?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
I would like to know the meaning of the name keybin
Gonzalo help me I have iPhone 2g but I do not receive notifications my email is demonroger1980@yahoo.com I will be waiting for your comment in my email pd friend you are a genius
