The functions that we have lost with the arrival of iOS 10

ios-10

iOS 10 is one of the most anticipated Apple operating systems. The reason is obvious, we are facing one of the most open and stable versions of iOS since the expiration of iOS 6. However, not everything is lights on iOS 10, there are also shadows, so we want to tell you today what are the functions that have disappeared in iOS 10 and were available in iOS 9. It never rains to everyone's liking, so it is likely that some of these functions have been snatched from the operating system to your chagrin, because who knows, maybe you used them ...

These are some of the features that iOS has lost with the update to iOS 10.

  • Possibility to delete all emails: The iOS 10 Mail app has been lightly but respectable tweaked. In iOS 9 we had a button that allowed us to delete all emails at once in the inbox. However, following reports from some users about accidentally deleting emails, Apple has decided to remove this feature (Has Tim Cook accidentally deleted any important emails?).
  • Deep Links: Apple has also chosen to disable the function that allowed some applications to include deep links to specific parts of it, as well as launch system activities or add shortcuts to parts of the applications. In this way, we cannot create shortcuts to settings, iCloud Drive and many others.
  • Song history: Apple warned that many things were going to change in the Music application for iOS 10, one of the first is that we will no longer see the history of songs played. Now we only have the play queue list, we will find it there.
  • Slide to unlock: One of the functions that users miss the most, among which I am. On many occasions we are forced to press the Home button up to two times, not to mention the hassle for those who have devices without TouchID. However we can recover a similar system, if we go to the Accessibility menu and Start Button Settings we can configure so that the TouchID detects the fingerprint without having to press it, less gives a stone ...

It is a bug in iOS 10, we recommend that you look for our article "the most common problems in iOS 10 and how to solve them." Greetings.

Hello, exactly the same thing happens to me, every day and more than once a day, my hotmail email asks for the password. I did not find the article you mention, nor did I find any solution on the web. It occurs to me that I could configure this email as POP3 to avoid this perhaps but perhaps I would lose the PUSH notifications of said account and I do not see it as a solution but rather a "patch". Is there a working solution to this problem known? Greetings

I also can't find that plugging in the headphones automatically opens the music option.
Does anyone know if it can be set up again?

You just saved my life Miguel with this contribution !:
General menu -> Accessibility -> Home button -> Activate "Place your finger to open" (Open the iPhone with Touch ID without having to press the home button).

Without a doubt it has been my nightmare from the first day I upgraded. In fact, I did not understand how any specialized blog made reference to it. The comfort that I had before with just putting my finger on the Touch ID, in an action that you repeat a day hundreds of times, I have not been able to appreciate well until iOS 10 took it away from me.

Fortunately and thanks to your article I enjoy it again.

    A million thanks!!!
