Gboard, Google's keyboard, now has tactile feedback when typing

iOS has been allowing the use of third-party keyboards on the iPhone for several versions, and this allows us to add features that the Apple keyboard lacks.

In particular, some such as SwiftKey or the Gboard keyboard, which has been updated an interesting feature.

The Google keyboard for iOS, Gboard, has just added in its latest update the option to "Enable tactile feedback when pressing keys". This provides us with a haptic response like the one we already know from the 3D Touch or the Home button itself (on iPhones that have it). Thus, it tries to imitate the use of the keyboard as if it were a physical keyboard and it is very successful (although it is the iPhone's own Haptic Engine that is very good).

If you want to activate this option you must update to the latest version of Gboard (1.40.0) and then open the keyboard app, go to "Keyboard settings" and activate "Enable tactile feedback when pressing keys".

In this version Lao and Mongolian languages have also been added, as well as an optimization of Gboard elements to reduce the size of the application.

You can take the opportunity to enter the Gboard app to give a review of the characteristics of this keyboard that, in my case, is the only one that I use due to its advantages over Apple's.

Advantages like swipe writing (something that when you get used to it, there is no return), being able to change the prediction of the language between English and Spanish, the integrated Google search (even to search for photos and GIFs directly from the keyboard), etc.

If you want to try Gboard or any other keyboard, Remember that we must add them from the Settings of your iPhone, in "General" and in "Keyboard". There, in the "Keyboards" option, you can add, order and remove the keyboards you want.
