For a couple of versions of iOS, Apple's operating system for mobile devices allows us to click on addresses or phone numbers that are included in the emails we receive through the Mail application, so that we can make a call directly without having to copy the number in the address book or visit the address directly by clicking on it so that Apple Maps will show it to us. Gmail has just announced that in the coming days it will implement this new feature, both in the application for mobile devices and in the desktop version.
Microsoft's Skype was one of the first companies to implemented this option through a plugin but limited only to phone numbers that we find when we surf the Internet, since outside the browser I had no human way to implement it.
This feature is also available in the desktop version of Mail, but only with postal addresses, although allowing calls from our MAC connected to the iPhone should add the function of recognizing phone numbers to make calls.
According to Google on its blog, this new function it will come in the form of an update in the next few days, so we will not have to wait long if we are regular users of this mail application to manage our Gmail account.
Since Google's mail service, Gmail, does not support push notifications, many users have been forced to use the Gmail application as their regular email client, preventing users from enjoying all the news that Apple adds every year to the application, an application that still has a lot of room for improvement if we compare it with other email clients available in the App Store.
That is very good, the truth is that the recognition of these elements was already integrated in WhatsApp and it is quite useful.
It is surprising to see that at this point such silly things and that have been on Android for so long are still not on iOS ... !!!
