Good news, jailbreakers: jailbreak iOS 9.2.1

jailbreak-ios.9.2.1

Good news for all of us who want to have at least some of our devices jailbroken: now have managed to jailbreak iOS 9.2.1. Of course, it is good news for the fact that there is already a developer who has achieved it but, as he has written on his Twitter account, you do not plan to launch it, or at least himself or short term.

The developer is named Luca Todesco (@qwertyoruiop) and, as you can see in the following tweet, he has published a screenshot to show that you have already jailbroken the latest version of iOS. He has achieved this on an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.2.1 and version 1.1.26 of Cydia, the latest version of the alternative store owned by Saurik.

Todesco says in its tweet that it is not going to release it, but that doesn't mean it can't collaborate with someone to release it. This developer already collaborated in the jailbreak for iOS 9 that Pangu launched, so nothing makes us think that he will not do the same this time. And, to support the first capture, he has also published another with the downloads he has made to the Kernel.

test-jailbreak

In any case, it must be said, the usual test to show that you have an untethered jailbreak should not be screenshots, but a video showing that the iPhone is on the home screen, turns off, turns to turn on, you enter Cydia and a video is shown what Todesco has shown us in the first capture. The only thing is, if you have already collaborated on other jailbreaks, it would not make much sense to publish the evidence of a fake jailbreak.

In any case, I think we can already say that we are very close to jailbreak for iOS 9.2.1. It only remains for this version of iOS to be released publicly and, in a few days, the jailbreak will be launched. If Pangu doesn't do it with the help of Todesco, surely TaiG is already feeling the pressure and won't want to be left behind. We just have to have a little more patience.

Do you think that Apple will not have time to close the exploits ???? Is that launching the evidence that the jail has been achieved for a version of iOS that has not yet been released to the public in its final phase seems to me a huge risk. Even, and being already very badly thought out, maybe Apple will give a mistake to post that would be corrected in iOS 9.2.2, giving them time to look for and also close the jail exploits.

I certainly do not agree on this at all, you have the jail, ok, perfect, shut up, Apple launches it confident that no one has released a jail for iOS 9.1.0 / 9.2.0 and a few hours after it comes out (as was the case in the past), they launch it; all of us who use jail happy like worms and apple to hold on. In this way everything can be complicated by a completely unnecessary action.

Hi, Alfonso. It is not the first time this has happened like this. I mean that if Apple has made the error, it is assumed that it does not know that it exists. I remember in iOS 6 that even Apple made a little joke knowing that we were all waiting for the final release of iOS 6.1: they released a "beta" that was actually final version and so said Pod2G.

I also understand what you say that Apple can meet them and even report them so that there is a market, since many would not buy an iPhone if it were not for the jailbreak. What happens is that it has also happened that they launch a jailbreak that uses a simple exploit having others in the bedroom. What should not have been published is the kernel to not give the slightest clue.

      A greeting.

Now, Pablo, if I already know that it is not the first time and soon people begin to complain that the Wifi does not work as in the previous iOs, that if the battery lasts less than in the previous iOS, that if now there is more lags, etc, etc. Soon after, Apple released a new version of iOS that promises to correct these bugs but that, logically, also closes the jail exploits. That is why I say, and I think it is not unreasonable, that if Apple does not have time to find and close the exploit or exploits that allow the jail "add" some error to post so that we say you have no choice but to update.

As for many would not buy an iPhone if the jail did not exist is totally and absolutely true, in fact you are talking to one and you know it, ha ha ha. That is why sometimes I do not understand that closure in making it difficult or trying to close it so quickly. I know that developers ask Apple because many people only use the jail to hack apps but I don't know, on the one hand we are the millions who would not buy it if it did not exist and on the other the interests (of course totally legitimate) of developers. Come on, it's changing one interest for another. The thing about stability and such and such directly I do not believe it mainly for two reasons, the first is that in view this stability is not what it was even without jail, and secondly because the jail It is something that the user does only and exclusively if he wants, it is also totally reversible in a very simple way.

Anyway, I am happy as the one who most of this news if it finally translates into a new jail because I remember that there was also talk that Pangu and Taig were working hard to get the jail for iOS 9.1.0 / 9.2.0. 9.2.1 and never heard from again; taking into account this news and that iOS XNUMX is about to come out, it would be completely absurd to think that now they were going to release that jail.

I am that since I hacked the PSP] :-) I have thought that the company left the door open on purpose. By this I mean that it is possible for Apple to open the door before closing it.

I suppose that this rush to close it is to give an image of security. Image is very important to Apple.

          A greeting.

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 9.1 without a cage, should I update or wait?

    1.    Anonymous said

It is not advisable to update it, since many users have had problems on the iPhone 4s due to the arrival of iOS 9.0, due to their computers having become slow and running.
If you can go back to a previous version it would be better.

IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO UPGRADE OR REPLACE IT TO A NEWER EQUIPMENT.

Hello, good ones, someone who recommends me, I ask you why I have a 4s with iOS 9.2, I upload it to 9.2.1 for when the jailbreak comes out or I stay in this version in case it comes out for 9.2. I am to downgrade, waiting for the jail with beehind the 4s since with the ios 6.1.3 I get to test it and it flies and if the difference is too noticeable than with these new versions of ios. Thank you very much Greetings people

Ary: Better wait it will be more combative, because since IOS 9.2 came out I knew immediately, that the Betas that I saw of Taig from Pre JB is only looking for Exploit as usual and Giving time to Launch the Beta of 9.2.1 that is in its Second Beta .. I guess I, But!

I updated to IOS 2 Beta 9.2.1 and installed Taig's JailBreak In Beta phase for said version and Hise then returned to IOS 9.2 and as it is simply a Profile that installs Through A SAFARI, the same causing Cydia to be installed in Its Latest version I did not delete anything Because I did not Restore By Itunes, but by the Taig Tool What it does is Replace said version with another one with its characteristics, without Deleting anything, but in any case I always do Backup in Itunes: D ……! ☺
