As we reported a few hours ago, the Google Drive applications and the browser are now available in the App Store Google Chrome for the iPhone and iPad.
A priori, the mobile version of Chromand try to resemble the desktop version as closely as possible:
- The navigation bar acts as a search bar
- We can open the tabs we want and go from one to another with different gestures
- The incognito mode allows us to navigate without the pages we visit being saved in the history
- It allows to synchronize open tabs, bookmarks, passwords and data from the omnibox of our computer between the different versions of Chrome.
- We can send pages from Chrome on our computer to the iOS version with a single click and consult them offline.
Best of all and as usual in Google products, Chrome is a free and universal application.
After testing it slightly, Google Chrome transmits very good feelings but it lacks some optimization in certain aspects such as scrolling since it is not as fluid as it should be. Otherwise, very good start (especially that dictation function outside of SIRI).
