Google Drive is updated with support for 3D Touch and more

GOOGLE DRIVE

Google has decided to release the latest update to its Google Drive iOS app today with cool and useful new features. First of all, the application has been updated to version 4.4 of the same, with support for 3D Touch utility that came from the hands of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. Now, when we press the Google Drive icon with more pressure than usual, it will allow us to perform a quick search of the content that we have stored in our cloud from the Google storage service.

On the other hand, it will also open up the possibility of quickly uploading the photos from our device. In addition, now Google Drive is fully integrated with Spotlight and its functions from the hand of iOS 9, therefore, any search we perform in Spotlight will give us results from the Google Drive application if we have it selected. We can quickly access any file we have in the Google cloud storage service, significantly increasing productivity and the way we use the application.

Finally, it also adds support for Split View on devices that are compatible with this function, such as the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Pro. Although this feature is not mentioned in the update log, we have been able to verify it. As always, Google Drive is available in the App Store for free, from the App you can contract your desired storage subscription.

What's New in Version 4.4

• Receive notifications about new files that have been shared with you
• Use 3D Touch to open recent files, upload photos, or search
• Find and open files in Drive using the search function in iOS
