We continue with the news of Google I/O, where one of the main notes was the presentation of the previously rumored Babel, the system cross-platform instant messaging of Google that has finally ended up being called Google Hangouts And it will be available for both Android, iOS and the web, so from now on you can use it on your iPad by downloading it for free from the App Store.
With this new application, Google wants to end its complications and leave behind the various instant messaging media that it had in its catalog (Google+ Chat, Google Voice, Google Talk, Hangouts, etc.), unifying all the services and tools in a single application, which will bring with you the much requested organized communication to our Google accounts.
But as expected, Google has not been enough to unify its services, but has added a few features to stand out from the competition (which by the way is quite close), allowing us to perform video calls, share images, send files between different platforms, use emoticons, have group conversations and something that I will personally appreciate a lot, when I receive a notification and read it, it will disappear from other devices.
From the outset I can say that if I want to have a modernized and super-vitaminized version of Google Talk on my iOS devices, that despite the fact that it may be difficult for them to reach such a saturated market, with multiple competitors such as WhatsApp, Line, iMessage and even the recently introduced BlackBerry Messenger for iOS, has the support of nothing more and nothing less than Google, with all that this implies.
