Tech companies have no choice but to get along with each other as they always have some reason to reach some kind of mutually beneficial agreement, such as the fact that Google continues to be the default search engine in all versions of iOS. iOS allows us to change the default search engine to Yahoo, Bing or Tor, but the percentage of people who do it is almost residual.

During 2014, the agreement between Google and Apple for the Cupertino guys to establish Google as the default search engine cost Google's coffers $ 1.000 billion, as reported by Bloomberg. But in addition, the agreement included a part of the benefits that Google obtained from visits directed by iPhones.

This agreement has been made public in the legal battle that has been taking place since 2010 by copyright infringement between Oracle and the guys from Mountain View. Oracle has sued Google for the use of Java software to develop the operating system for Android phones and tablets.

During the legal battle, it was mentioned that the distribution of the benefits from the part of the advertising coming from the Apple devices reached 34% for the latter. The parties involved in the agreement, Google and Apple, contacted the judge in charge of the case to prevent that information from being made public since the terms of the agreement between both companies were confidential.

Shortly after this information was made public, the documents that mentioned this agreement have disappearedTherefore, it seems that the judge finally accepted the request presented by both companies, and eliminated from the summary the documentation showing the figures related to the agreement between both companies.
