Google Photos is updated with a new view of memories and a map in which to see all our photos

Many of you will be testing the new beta of iOS 14, We are already doing it, and you will be seeing all those news at the software level that Apple has wanted to launch to revitalize all its devices. But the truth is that although many of us like these developments, others prefer to continue using third-party applications due to the "extras" they offer. To manage the photos we have the native iOS app but there is a great alternative that is Google Photos. A photo management app that even offers us free storage space. Now it is updated with a redesign and new functions among which we have a new map in which to see all our photos. After the jump we tell you all the news.

The app changes with an organization in three tabs among which we have Photos, a Finder, and Library (here we have tools to use them with our photos or an album with our deleted photos). In Photos, one of the renewed sections, now we will see more «Memories », or Memories as Apple calls them, these will be updated and will show us the photos and videos that have something in commonBesides being able to create a video with them, does it remind you of iOS Photos?

Some Memories that now happen to be inside Photos to have more prominence, thus leaving the For You tab that disappears with this redesign. LThe arrangement of our photos is also redesigned allowing us to see them in a larger wayThe funny thing is that the screenshots, or photos of scanned documents, will be kept small as they are not something that we need at all times.

And returning again to the memories of the iOS Photos app, now Google Photos incorporates a new map that can be found in this Photos tab under the «Places» section. Here we will see a map of Google Maps (it could not be less) with points that will be marking the places where some of the photos in our gallery have been taken. Something quite comfortable that we already enjoyed on iOS and that comes to the Google Photos app.
