It has always been commented that Apple devices, be it the iPhone or the iPad They are not suitable devices for reading books in low light conditions, since despite lowering the brightness to the maximum, the screen continues to offer too much light for the dark environment in which we find ourselves, which in the long run can damage the view. Many of us surely take a look at our device before going to sleep to see our Twitter account, Facebook or read a chapter of our favorite book.

Google is aware of this problem, to call it somehow and has just updated the Books application to improve the experience, in case before going to sleep we want to read some pages of our favorite book, adding the Night Light mode. From Google they assure that this new function improves the reading that we do completely in the dark before going to sleep, changing the color of the background of the book in addition to the brightness.

When we activate the Night Light mode, the application automatically adds filters to the image, offering us a warmer environment, with an orange background as the hours go by. Night Light adapts to the amount of sunlight located outside our home to offer more orange or less colors, offering us a more comfortable environment for our eyes.

To enable this reading mode, we just have to open the application with the corresponding book and enable the option through the menu. Once activated, every time we open the application, will automatically adapt to outdoor lighting conditions so that reading at night without light does not really become a task to relax and help us to rest more quickly.
