Today at 18:00 p.m. the Google conference began in which a series of new products would be presented, something similar to the last Keynote that Apple gave on September 9. The most interesting have been the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, of which many details were already known, in addition not only one but two new Chromecasts have been presented, the Chromecast 2 as an evolution of the previous one and the Chromecast Audio, dedicated only to the emission of sound, with a cheaper price. Finally, Google has presented the Pixel C tablet, a tablet with which Google plans to compete with Microsoft's Surface and Apple's iPad Pro. In Actualidad iPad we tell you all the news.

Pixel C, competition for the iPad Pro

The Google Pixel C comes equipped with a 10,2-inch screen that seems small, in excellent resolution of 2560 × 1800 pixels, with a total density of 308 pixels per inch. In addition, it will be made entirely of metal, with a unibody body. The graceful touch is given by the line of various colors that we could already see in the ChromeBook Pixel.

Inside we will find a curious hardware, with un quad-core processor provided by N-VIDIA, called NVIVIDIA X-1, in the hands of a well-known Maxwell GPU and 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM that promises excellent performance. Integrating the Android operating system and with a thickness that does not seem too attractive, we must say that they have not presented any feature that makes it stand out remarkably. For $ 499 for the 32GB version and a hundred dollars more for the 64GB version and if we take into account that the keyboard is sold separately for $ 149 we are still looking for the attractiveness of this tablet.

Nexus 5X, the older brother of the Nexus 5

An upper-middle-range terminal that presents a 5,2-inch screen with 1080p resolution, about 420 pixels per inch in an IPS panel, covered by Gorilla Glass 3. From the manufacturer LG the terminal has plastic finishes with unibody , available in white, blue and black.

The weight is light, only 136 grams and a thickness of about 8mm accompanied by 14,7 centimeters long and 7,2cm wide, it is certainly not small. But the important thing is inside, a Qualcomm 808 processor with 64Bits technology and six cores at 2 GHz. Regarding the GPU, they have opted for the well-known Adreno 418 and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, with the possibility of choosing storage of 16 GB or 32 GB without the possibility of expansion.

The camera is 12,3 MP, with an f2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, and 4K video capture. As for the front, a classic 5 MP camera is chosen. The rear camera captures better photos in low light conditions and is accompanied by an optical image stabilizer. However, one of the biggest novelties is the fingerprint reader on the back of the device and the Android 6.0 version. Available from $ 379 in the United States as of today, with expansion forecasts.

Nexus 6P, the high-end Android

With the Nexus 6P made by Huawei, Google wanted to make a high-end device. Built in aluminum and with a weight of 178 grams and dimensions of 159,4 x 77,8 x 7,3 millimeters, it is quite collected if we talk about a 5,7-inch device. The resolution of its IPS panel is also quite good, maintaining 2560 x 1440 pixels and presenting a condensation of 515 pixels per inch.

As for the interior, it hides a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v.2.1 with proven quality and power, hand in hand with 3GB of RAM which makes it one of the best Android devices. The camera could not be less, 12,3 MP with dual-tone flash and laser sensor that promise us the best photographs.

For all this it has a battery of no less than 3.450 mAh and two stereo front speakers. Storage ranges from 32GB to 128GB, not expandable. But the most interesting seems to be the USB-C 2.1 charging port with fast charging, it seems that Apple kicked off with the USB-C. The price starts from $ 499 the 32Gb version, $ 549 for the 64Gb version and $ 649 for the 128Gb version.

Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio

Google's HDMI stick has been renewed in design almost like a keychain, so it will remain permanently hanging from the HDMI we plug it into. It now features 802.11 ac Wi-Fi connectivity, adding a greater number of bands. Of course, the most important thing is that now it is compatible with content in 1080p resolution and at the same time the Chromecast App has been updated. The price is maintained in the 17 countries of sale, $39, and is already on sale in the Google Store.

Chormecast Audio for its part is the version of the Chromecast aimed only to broadcast audio via Wi-FiWe simply plug it in thanks to its 3,5mm jack, although it also has an optical output. Chromecast Audio is now available at the same price as the Chromecast 2 on the Google Store.

I do not see anything innovative in Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio, in the first one they may improve some features at the hardware level, but the user experience without having a dedicated remote control is still deficient, having to unlock the tablet or cell phone to advance in detail a movie or to browse the CC 2 options is not recommended. Regarding the CC Audio, there are other very similar or more complete options, such as the Dlink Audio Extender (DCH-M225) that, in addition to supporting streaming, is also a repeater of the Wi-Fi signal, which allows expanding the network coverage.
