The Apple Watch integrates a good battle of capabilities at the home automation control level, how could it be otherwise, the applications are integrated to offer the control of our home without having to go to Siri or the iPhone, and this is to be appreciated for the versatility it inevitably grants.
As you well know if you have been following us lately, Nest is owned by Google, and this is leading to a series of changes at the software level. Nest apps have been swiftly removed from the Apple Watch App Store and also from the Google Play Store for Wear OS.
Google has not issued any statement, not even to Nest customers themselves, about the movement that leaves its users without the application with which they could control their devices directly from the Apple Watch. This confirms the movement that the firm already made in the middle of last May when it completely eliminated the applications for iOS and Android, integrating them into their own systems already available to date. This is, however, the umpteenth move by a large company to "despise" such a useful item as the smartwatch.
And it is that apparently only Apple and Samsung are taking the matter of smart watches a bit seriously, being the two great bastions of this type of device in the current market. However, without the developers behind to create extraordinary applications and functionalities, these products are unlikely to continue growing. The reality is that despite its weak start a few years ago, it is increasingly common to see smart watches on users' wrists, or also alternatives such as the Xiaomi Mi Band. Wearables are very useful, let's not let them "die".
