For many years, series lovers have waited for the arrival of a quality service to Spanish territory with which to enjoy our favorite series without having to resort to other means ... Movistar was the first to incorporate a wide catalog of American series into its Movistar TV service, only available to the company's clients. Before the end of the year, Netflix landed in Spain with a quite acceptable catalog, taking into account that part of it was in the possession of Movistar TV due to the agreements it had previously reached, but that once they are finished they will return to Netflix.
Today we woke up with the news that HBO will bring its streaming service to Spain this same year, even before other European countries, contrary to what happened with Netflix where Spain was one of the last countries to be able to enjoy this service, which not only offers TV series but also offers a wide range of movies without having pay a euro more to watch them, unlike the streaming video services available in Spain before Netflix arrived.
At the moment we do not know when it will be available in our country as well as we also do not know the prices that will offer but it is very likely that they are very similar to what users in the Nordic countries are currently enjoying, 10 euros per month. When HBO broadcasts in Spain begin, all the series that can currently be seen on the different television channels in Spain will become exclusively available on that streaming video platform, except with the platforms with which it has previously signed agreements such as This is the case of Movistar TV.
Mind the HBO catalog we can find Game of Thrones, Girls, The Leftovers but also series already finished like The Sopranos. What's more HBO will also show content from other production companies such as Showtime from which it preferentially buys its emission rights.
